Incap Germany at European Defence Supply 2026
European Defence Supply 2026 in Munich brought together industry representatives, technology providers, authorities and defence stakeholders to discuss the future of European defence supply chains, industrial resilience and scalable manufacturing capabilities for security-critical applications.
A particular highlight for Incap Germany was the workshop held by Alexander Ostermeier, “Made for NATO worldwide – How to industrialize the defense business with medium-sized ODM partners”. The presentation attracted significant interest throughout the event, with more than 40 participants attending and additional visitors standing due to the high demand and limited seating capacity.
During the workshop, Ostermeier shared practical insights into the transition from traditional EMS manufacturing to defence-capable industrial partnerships. The presentation focused on topics such as traceability, security-by-design, defence standards, documented quality assurance, obsolescence management, and the realities of entering defence supply chains.
The workshop also addressed current developments within the European industrial landscape, including the growing interest from automotive and industrial companies looking to enter defence-related markets. Further topics included industrial scalability, qualification requirements, defence-grade cable assembly, long-term programme structures and the importance of reliable delivery performance in defence projects.
In addition to the presentation, numerous discussions at the Incap Germany booth reflected the strong interest in resilient electronics manufacturing and industrialisation support for defence applications. Many visitors used the opportunity to exchange ideas about qualification processes, supply chain requirements and potential future collaborations within the defence sector.
The strong response to both the workshop and the exhibition demonstrated the increasing relevance of reliable European manufacturing partners for defence and aerospace projects and highlighted the growing demand for practical expertise in industrialising complex defence electronics.
Alexander Ostermeier, Business Development Manager Division Defence at Incap Germany, will continue these discussions at AOC Europe in Helsinki from 19–21 May. Together with the Incap Estonia team, he will present Incap’s expertise in defence electronics manufacturing and industrialisation support at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, Stand 4F37.
