Electronics manufacturing for connected devices, monitoring systems, and IoT applications.

Incap manufactures electronics for industrial IoT, connected monitoring systems, smart infrastructure, and control electronics across industrial and commercial environments. The scope covers PCB assemblies, sensor and interface electronics, communication modules, control units, and complete electronic subsystems for products where connectivity, reliable data collection, and long-term operation matter.

IoT products present a specific manufacturing challenge. They often combine compact hardware, multiple communication interfaces, embedded software dependencies, and deployment in environments where maintenance access is limited. Getting the hardware right from the start matters more when a device is expected to operate reliably for years with minimal intervention.

What Incap builds in this sector

Products in this space include industrial monitoring and data collection modules, connected control and interface electronics, sensor-based systems for industrial and infrastructure applications, temperature and climate control electronics, intelligent lighting control systems, and connected devices for building management and smart infrastructure.

Incap has real examples in this space. Smart streetlights with Incap-manufactured electronics are deployed across regions of Estonia. This kind of deployment — connected devices operating continuously in outdoor infrastructure — reflects the practical demands of IoT manufacturing: weatherproofing, reliable communication, and consistent production quality across large quantities of identical units.

From hardware to connected systems

Many IoT products require more than PCB assembly. The hardware platform needs to be designed with the communication architecture, power supply, and deployment environment in mind from the start. Incap’s embedded systems and IIoT engineering team, a group of over 50 embedded developers, firmware engineers, and IoT specialists, supports customers who need development capability alongside manufacturing. This covers custom hardware platforms, firmware, communication protocol integration, edge computing architecture, and cloud connectivity, through to series production and lifecycle support.

For customers with existing equipment that needs IIoT connectivity added, Incap also offers a retrofit approach using preconfigured single-board computer platforms. This avoids the cost and disruption of full system replacement and, in regulated industries, typically does not trigger re-approval processes.

From prototypes to deployment at scale

Consistent quality and traceability across every unit are particularly important for products deployed in large numbers across distributed locations. Incap’s dedicated prototype line and NPI team support fast builds and design feedback early in the process, reducing the cost of corrections before volume production begins.

Hardware that works in the field

The gap between a connected device that works in a lab and one that works reliably in the field for years is largely a manufacturing and engineering problem. Component selection, protection processes, communication reliability, and production consistency all determine whether an IoT product delivers on its promise once deployed. Incap’s combination of embedded engineering depth and manufacturing capability is built to close that gap.

Relevant certifications

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 cover quality and environmental management across Incap’s sites. IPC standards apply to PCB assembly workmanship across the group.
