Incap India enhances share of renewable energy by installing solar panels
Incap India has completed the solar power project at its facilities in Tumkur, where 1,257 panels are fully installed, connected to the grid, and put into operation. This approximately EUR 400,000 investment is aimed at reducing the company’s carbon footprint and improving energy efficiency. The roof-top solar power plant is expected to generate a substantial return on investment (ROI), along with significant power cost savings and environmental benefits.
According to Murthy Munipalli, Managing Director of Incap India, the solar power project is an essential part of the company’s sustainability roadmap. “This investment is integral to Incap’s operations and part of our positive contribution to the environment and local community. It reinforces our commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices and supports our goal of energy efficiency while aligning with the company’s objective to increase the use of renewable energy across all units”, he stated.
The current solar power installation at the newest factory, featuring 1,257 panels, is capable of generating up to 680 kW of energy under favourable conditions. At the same time, Incap India is actively exploring opportunities to expand solar installations to its other factories, further strengthening its commitment to integrating renewable energy solutions across all its operations on the premises.
