Meet Charles Elias, Incap US Quality Manager, and a passionate drummer
Allow us to introduce you to a hidden gem within our team at Incap US – Charles Elias, our Quality Manager, and a drumming enthusiast with a passion that spans over four decades.
Charles has been the backbone of various bands, keeping the beat alive for more than 40 years. It all began when his parents gifted him his first drum kit at the age of 15, and he’s been hooked ever since.
Despite being actively involved in multiple bands and dedicating time to perfect his drumming skills, Charles remains humble. He draws inspiration from the vast pool of talented drummers worldwide, often practising on a drum pad while watching TV to strengthen his hands when not behind the kit.
As the rhythm continues, Charles encounters occasional challenges, like the instance when a set congas had to find a new home for the sake of domestic tranquillity. In a light-hearted anecdote, Charles chuckles as he recounts his wife’s playful threat to fill the congas with dirt and plant flowers unless they were relocated from the living room. Regrettably, to maintain domestic harmony, he bid farewell to these backline instruments.
When it comes to performing on stage, Charles is part of the Bad Company Tribute Band, “Straight Shooter,” a group of seasoned musicians involved in various musical endeavours. They prefer quality over quantity, playing shows every 6-8 weeks to create memorable events rather than saturating the local scene.
But what brings him the greatest gratification is sharing the stage with his oldest son, Matthew, who is not only the guitar/keyboard player in the tribute band but also a versatile musician involved in several other projects, including his upcoming solo album, “Soil.”
Beyond the drumsticks and cymbals, Charles Elias is an integral part of Incap US, contributing 17 years of dedicated service. His expertise in the Quality field spans 29 years, reflecting his commitment to excellence both in and out of the office.
