Summer Internship at Incap Estonia
Allow us to introduce Krister Aleks Kasemaa, who has chosen Incap Estonia for his summer internship for the second time. Krister Aleks is a student at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, majoring in Techno Electronics with a focus on electronics.
Krister Aleks is from Kuressaare – a charming small town where Incap Estonia is located – so Incap wasn’t unfamiliar to him. He recalls that his first internship at Incap was a brief introduction to a manufacturing company, but it ignited his interest and curiosity to learn more. How did he find his way to Incap? Quite simply – he looked for companies related to his hometown and chose Incap.
What was it like interning at Incap? Krister Aleks remembers that after his initial introduction, both the office manager and internship supervisor extended an open invitation for him to return whenever he wanted to undertake a more comprehensive internship. And so it happened that now, two years later, he accepted this invitation and began his internship at Incap in July.
This time his internship tasks included conducting an inventory of client assets and updating related safety instructions. He describes how he got acquainted with product managers who showed him client-owned assets, which he then labelled and documented in the maintenance environment. Additionally, he enhanced safety labels in the SMT production line and wrote new safety instructions based on existing guidelines and user information.
What intrigued Krister Aleks the most? Definitely getting to know the company’s products and their assembly process, as well as listening to colleagues’ stories about the company’s history and evolution. He observed how Incap consistently strives to improve its work environment, which inspires him to delve deeper into electronics-related knowledge.
