National Apprenticeship Week 2024 at Incap UK
As part of National Apprenticeship Week, Incap UK is happy to introduce three bright students who have recently joined our team as apprentices, bringing fresh perspectives and enthusiasm to our workforce. Let’s get to know Kaleem Mohammed, Cameron Griffiths, and Leo Bainbridge and explore the journeys that led them to Incap.
Kaleem Mohammed: embracing diversity in learning
On the left of the photo stands Kaleem Mohammed, who began his apprenticeship with Incap in August 2023. His path to Incap started at an apprenticeship fair at his college, where he encountered our booth and engaged in a conversation with Samantha, the People and Culture Manager at Incap UK. Intrigued by the prospect of acquiring new skills and knowledge, Kaleem expressed his interest in joining Incap as an apprentice. Since then, he has immersed himself in various departments, spending time in stores and quality, where he has gained insights into different procedures and processes. Kaleem highlights the inclusive culture at Incap, emphasising the enriching experience of collaborating with colleagues from diverse ethnicities, cultures, and backgrounds.
Cameron Griffiths: nurturing a passion for engineering
In the middle of the photo is Cameron Griffiths, who discovered Incap through an apprenticeship opportunity advertisement and later encountered our team at a student apprenticeship fair. Cameron’s journey into engineering began during high school, fostering a passion for electronic engineering and manufacturing. After expressing his interest and sending an inquiry email, he secured an interview and subsequently joined Incap in August 2023. Cameron has been dedicated to honing his skills, delving into health and safety procedures, and learning the complexity of surface mount on the production line and unit assembly. Cameron values the diverse perspectives of his colleagues, finding inspiration in working with individuals from various backgrounds and cultures.
Leo Bainbridge: thriving in a supportive environment
On the right of the photo stands Leo Bainbridge, who learned about Incap through a job advertisement for apprenticeships. After exploring the company and the job role, Leo decided to apply, eventually securing an interview and earning a spot in our apprenticeship program. Since joining Incap, Leo has been impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the helpful nature of his colleagues. He particularly highlights the supportive presence of Brett Mooney, a co-worker who has been instrumental in guiding and assisting him whenever needed. Leo thrives in a positive and safe working environment.
