Meet the team: Ashoka Bhat K. from Incap India
Let’s meet one of our team members from Incap India! Ashoka Bhat K. is our General Manager MED & Process Engineering at Incap India. Read more about his journey at Incap, his responsibilities and some other interesting facts!
After finishing his bachelor in electronics and communication, Ashoka started working in consumer electronics company BPL and worked there for 17 years, while also finishing his MBA in Marketing. Then he joined Amara Raja, after which he joined Incap’s research and development team for the first time – in 2009. Akosha worked in Incap until 2013, then decided to work as a Senior Engineering Manager at General Electric, and now he is back in Incap from this year.
Q: How did you find your way to Incap and what are your main responsibilities here?
A: In 2011, I found my way to Incap through a recruiter, who invited me to join the team. In our department, we do a lot of research, related to time and motion studies. We process improvements, trying to optimise and automate the processes. There are 8 people in my team.
Q: Please share an interesting fact about your work!
A: I would bring out our achievements in automation and pursuits in improving our processes, as we have been successful in it with our team. As a General Manager, my biggest goal is to continue with automation projects, while looking for the most optimum way for using the manpower in different positions.
However, during my previous experience in Incap, we were developing Emergency Rescue Devices (ERD), which is also interesting!
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: In my free time, I like to watch cricket – but only watch and not play! And I also read management-related books.
