Meet the team: Venkatesh T K from Incap India
Let’s get to know one of our team members from Incap India! We are excited to introduce our team members from different factories and this time we are introducing Venkatesh! He is our General Manager of Production and Testing at Incap’s factories in India and he has worked in Incap for 15 years. This time we wanted to know more about what it’s like to work with our team in Tumkur and what other teams from Incap might not know yet!
Q: It is known that on Incap India territory, you can meet some exotic and exciting animals. Which ones have you seen?
A: Monkey, snails, and snakes
Q: There are also hundreds of plant species growing on the factory’s territory. Can you bring out some of them? For example, do you also have the national fruit of India – mango?
A: Yes, we have some seasonal fruits growing on the territory, such as mangos, jackfruits, and jamfruits. We have all of these from spring until the mid-summer. As you can just go and pick these fruits, we normally consume them right in the factory and distribute them to all the employees.
Q: We know you as a great foodie, who loves to cook and values good cooking! What are your favourite meals that have been served at the Incap India factory?
A: I must say we have very nice food in the factory, a lot of varieties and different dishes every day, starting from breakfast until dinner at night.
For example, food served during breakfast can include dosa, which is an Indian pancake, or mixed rice. For lunch, we of course have some Indian bread, then rice – we consume a lot of it! – curry, soup, and so on. And in the evening, we have some snacks as well, like cookies.
Q: What are you most proud of regarding the new, third, factory in India? There are many innovations, such as solar panels on the roof providing energy and a new wastewater system.
A: Besides these, of course we do waste management very well – waste from manufacturing and around 2000 people has to be recycled.
We have a cross-functional team including people from all the departments, with whom we sit together and brainstorm on how to operate better at Incap. All employees can also contribute and suggest their ideas on how to improve different activities, such as in procurement, waste elimination, or new developments.
Q: What do you like the most about working at Incap?
A: There’s nice teamwork, and good cooperation from all the departments. We can share all ideas with each other.
We are happy to have you in our team, Venkatesh!
