Meet the team: Samantha Shaughnessy from Incap UK

Let’s meet one of our team members from Incap UK! Samantha Shaughnessy is our People and Culture Manager at Incap UK and joined our team this year. Find out more about her background and some other interesting facts!

Samantha studied Forensic Investigation at University, studied a CIPD level 5 diploma in HR management with Avado and completed numerous ACAS courses. She has worked in charity, warehousing, conveyancing, digital forensics, manufacturing and care industry. In addition, Samantha has around 5 years of HR experience including setting up internal HR departments and dealing with the full employee life cycle.

Samantha found her way to Incap after being made redundant in her previous job. “I saw this job advertised and it looked like a good opportunity and a great company to work for,” said Samantha. She is responsible for recruitment, employee relations, creating and updating policies and procedures, advising directors, managers and employees, sickness absence management, analysing trends in data, learning and development, apprenticeships, and employment law.

Currently Samantha is working on bringing employee benefits in, updating the employee handbook, policies and procedures, and restarting our staff council meetings to give employees a voice. What she likes the most about working at Incap are the lovely and supportive people she works with.

In her free time Samantha enjoys walking her dog, gaming, reading, cross stitching, taking day trips, and cosplaying at Comic Cons.
