Meet the team: Project manager Kaarli Haandi from Incap Estonia
Let’s meet one of our team members from Incap Estonia! Kaarli Haandi is our Project Manager at the factory in Saaremaa, Estonia. We are excited to introduce our team members from different factories and this time we are introducing Kaarli from Estonia! He is responsible for ensuring that high quality products leave the factory on time.
Kaarli has graduated from TTK University of Applied Sciences where he majored in automotive engineering and also took part in the Formula Student project. In between his studies at TKK he was an exchange student in Denmark for 1 year, where he studied mechanical engineering and was a member of the SDU (The University of Southern Denmark) student formula team. After that Kaarli finished his master’s studies at TalTech in the field of product development and production engineering.
“Since I have always been interested in electronics, I wanted to further develop this side of myself. I entered school again with the idea of studying electronics. For this purpose, I took marine electronics subjects from TalTech Kuressaare College,” said Kaarli.
“My previous job was actually related to the production of dairy products. I was the technical manager of the factory. Since the collective was small and the volumes were large, we could deal with very different problems on a daily basis – related to equipment or people, as well as company expansion and energy efficiency projects. Before that, I was active in the field of cars, and more specifically, I was involved in auto body work,” he added.
Kaarli found his way to Incap by seeing a job advertisement and applying. As a project manager he is responsible for ensuring that a high-quality product leaves the building on time, which includes ensuring that all intermediate stages must be completed on time as well. His tasks can include solving current issues, guidance of production workers, reporting, communication with customers, sales and purchasing department. “What I like the most about working at Incap is that the work is very fascinating, and you never know what the day may bring. The people are nice, and the atmosphere is supportive,” described Kaarli.
In his free time Kaarli likes to stay active (as much as he has time for it). He is also involved in giving swimming lessons to kindergarten children. He went through a relevant program for this and made himself a coach. In addition, he does folk dancing and when he has time, he also likes to go fishing. And of course, he likes to spend time with his family and children.
We are happy to have you in our team, Kaarli!
