Meet the Team: Konsta Weckman, Finance and ESG Intern at Incap Headquarters
Meet Konsta Weckman, Finance and ESG Intern at Incap’s headquarters in Helsinki. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting at Aalto University and supports both financial and sustainability-related tasks at Incap.
Before joining the company, Konsta worked in accounts payable at Meyer Turku. That role gave him a practical introduction to financial processes and helped build a strong foundation for his current responsibilities. He was drawn to Incap by the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both finance and ESG within an international, growth-oriented listed company. “This role brought together both areas I wanted to explore, so it felt like a perfect fit,” he explains.
At Incap, Konsta helps prepare financial and ESG data, supports analysis, and contributes to internal projects. From the very first week, he was given real responsibility and had the chance to take part in team meetings and projects. “The pace was quick from the start, but I appreciated being trusted right away. It helped me learn faster and feel part of the team.”
Outside of work, Konsta enjoys staying active and finding ways to unwind. He enjoys exercising, going on long walks, playing chess and video games, cooking, and travelling whenever possible. These activities help him recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
His time at Incap has helped clarify his professional direction. “The internship confirmed that I want to keep working at the intersection of finance and sustainability. I’ve realised that sustainability reporting is definitely something I want to focus on more moving forward,” he says. What surprised him most was how much trust and freedom he was given early on in the internship. A fun part of the experience has been the informal team lunches, which made it easy to connect with colleagues and feel included from the start.
We’re glad to have Konsta on the team and appreciate the curiosity, initiative, and commitment he brings to his work.
