As the Program Engineering Manager, Ivan leads an exceptional team of Program and Test Engineers, making significant contributions to the success and growth of the company.
Originally from Bulgaria, Ivan holds a Master’s degree in Automation and Robotics from the Technical University in Sofia. In 2000, Ivan began his journey with Incap (previously Pennatronics) shortly after moving to the United States. Despite facing language barriers, his dedication and hard work were quickly recognized, and he started as a component placer on the sideline before progressing to operate SMT machines. His commitment and expertise paved the way for him to become an engineer, and as the company expanded, Ivan’s contributions led him to his current position as Program Engineering Manager.
At Incap, Ivan’s main responsibilities include leading a remarkable team of Program and Test Engineers, overseeing multiple customers’ projects, and driving the development of essential processes and internal documentation for successful product realisation. Additionally, Ivan actively participates in the quoting process for new projects, initiates and drives process improvement projects, and stays up-to-date with industry innovations and technology developments, including equipment evaluations and selections.
The best part of working at Incap for Ivan is the people. He values the dedicated and caring team, who work together to provide customers with exceptional and high-quality products. Over the years, Ivan has built strong relationships that extend beyond the workplace, creating a supportive and collaborative environment.
Beyond his professional life, Ivan enjoys spending quality time with his family. He is married and has a son currently attending the University of Pittsburgh in a pre-veterinary program. Ivan’s passion lies in sports, particularly soccer, which he used to play in recreational leagues in Pittsburgh. He loves watching various sports and cherishes the moments when he can watch games with his son.
During his free time, Ivan enjoys golfing and bike rides with his wife. He also finds joy in travelling to Europe and the Caribbean, exploring new places and experiencing diverse cultures.
