Incap India generates over 450,000 kWh of solar power in 6 months
Incap India has successfully completed six months of operating its own solar panel system, marking an important step forward in both energy production and sustainability goals. The team is proud to be the first unit at Incap to fully manage its solar panels in-house.
Between January and June 2025, the two manufacturing units in India produced a total of 459,392 kWh of solar energy, with 234,234 kWh generated in Q1 and 225,158 kWh in Q2. During these periods, the panels covered 17.69% of total energy needs in Q1 and 13.98% in Q2.
“From these figures, it’s evident that we are on the right track with energy consumption efficiency and supporting sustainability,” said Kalyan S D, EHSS (Environmental Health, Safety, and Sustainability) Manager at Incap India.
While solar panels are still relatively rare in the region, Kalyan notes that there are signs of growing interest in renewable energy adoption. “We would also like to encourage our suppliers to go with renewable energy,” he added.
The team confirms that the system’s energy production has met the expectations set at the start. Beyond reducing energy bills, the panels help reduce dependency on non-renewable sources, supporting both business efficiency and the planet.
