Main responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the test, programming, and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies, and related products as required
- Troubleshoot printed circuit board assemblies and systems to the component level
- Provide direction & input on product issues, diagnose problems, etc.
- Perform product tests to ensure product quality and performance while adhering to project schedules, budgets, and safe work procedures
- Troubleshoot products to determine root cause of electrical product malfunctions
- Solder and rework components on PCB’s and other assemblies when required
- Diagnose and fix problems with minimal supervision
- Communicate on a daily basis with Test Engineering & Program Engineering teams to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units
- Keep area in 5S Standard
- Performs related duties as required or assigned within the job classification
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate Degree in Electronics, and/or 10+ years of hands-on experience as electronics technician
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of RF, analog circuits, digital circuits, etc.
- Understanding the operation of and proficiencies using the following equipment: Oscilloscopes, Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, DMMs, Power supplies, and Current meters
- Ability to read & interpret schematics
- Possess good general soldering and SMT component soldering skills
- Excellent personal computer skills are required with knowledge of MS Office software packages (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong, self-motivated team member who can thrive in a multi-tasking environment
- Possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Able to provide guidance and direction to respective employees when required
