Meet the team: Päivi Jokinen from Incap HQ

Let’s meet one of our team members from Incap HQ! Päivi Jokinen has been Incap’s board member since 2018. Find out more about her background, experience at Incap and some other interesting facts!

Päivi has worked in various leadership positions in international business. Prior to founding an executive search leadership advisory in Finland, she served as the Chairwoman of the Board at European Women on Boards and worked as Vice President at Stora Enso Consumer Board Division. Before that she has worked as a member of the Management team at Kemira and International Paper Europe, among others.

Päivi has solid experience in innovation leadership, strategic planning, sales, marketing and communications. She is also a member of the board at Enersense Oyj and member of the Advisory Council of the private equity company Bocap.

She believes that the great thing about Incap board is that it works very well as a team. “We bring different competences and viewpoints to the conversations and decision-making and very much appreciate each other’s points of view. We are collectively supporting the success of Incap and whereas I currently work on the side of HR as an executive search consultant and have previous experience from global sales, marketing, communications and strategy, I feel that it is my duty to weigh in to all topics that the management brings to our attention,” says Päivi.

Her main motto in life and in board work is to “stay curious”. “Learning orientation has helped me along in the many twists and turns that my career has taken and my most sincere wish is to continue learning until I live,” she states.

Outside of work, Päivi loves to travel the world and spend time outdoors, either in the beautiful Finnish forests on skis, bike, in running shoes or walking with her labradoodle Rico.
